Alabama INDEX Arizona 2008 Name Blair Chenoweth Age 25 (born November 3, 1981) Height 5 ft 6 in (1.68 m) Hometown Anchorage, Alaska Previous experience Miss Alaska (MAO) 2003 Biography Blair is a 25 year old professional dancer, instructor and choreographer. She is no stranger to a national competition, having competed as Miss Alaska MAO in 2003. During her reign she had the privilege to travel to Korea to promote tourism and act as a spokeswoman for Dong Won seafood's Alaska salmon. This trip included commercial print and television appearances throughout Korea. Blair is still active with her platform America's Promise- The Alliance For Youth a youth development program founded by Colin Powell and is also an active volunteer for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Blair began dancing at the tender age of four and has studied with Alaska Dance Theatre (where she is now on the faculty), Ballet Arizona, the Joffrey Ballet and Dance Theatre of Harlem. She is proficient in ballet/pointe, jazz, tap, modern dance, many ballroom styles, certified pilates instructor and is also a trained lyra hoop aerialist. Blair graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance. While at OU Blair was part of the Oklahoma Festival Ballet Company, the prestigious President's Leadership Class and also crowned Miss Greek University of Oklahoma representing her sororirty Pi Beta Phi. For the past two years Blair has combined her love of travel and dance by performing aboard Holland America Cruise Line's luxury ships. She has visited almost all 7 continents, with Australia the last to conquer. In her spare time Blair enjoys competing in triathlons, knitting, yoga, teaching pilates, playing with her yorkshire terrier Buster, hiking, fishing for Alaska salmon and spending time with her active family.
