Chelsie is from the same small town as Lauren Kelsey Hall, Miss Ohio USA 2004. She is a sophomore at Wellston High School and is a Varsity Cheerleader, a Varsity Softball Player, a Varsity Crosscountry Runner, a Power Tumbler along with participating in her High School Cheerleading Competition team. Just one month prior to the pageant, she had major knee surgery, but was able to recover and train in time for the event.
Chelise is also a FCCLA member, which is a Family Career and Community Leader of America. She introduces to students and people in her community the effects of drugs and alcohol. Chelsie continues to help with the project attending the FCCLA conventions and taking part in their many workshops.
