On October 7, 2006, Macy Erwin, was crowned Miss Tennessee Teen USA in Clarksville, Tennessee, and awarded a 4-year college scholarship to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as well as the O'More College of Design.
Currently a high school junior at Tyner Academy in Chattanooga, upon her graduation in May, 2008, Macy plans to attend The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga Campus. A native of Chattanooga, Macy was born on November 3, 1989.
She is the daughter of a Chattanooga attorney and licensed health care professional. She has one brother Ryan, age 15. Macy has attended public schools and excelled academically throughout her grade school and high school years.
As a young child Macy always loved clothing and fashion, as well as creative writing and literature. Macy currently enjoys acting in church and school plays, and has always had a strong passion to perform. Upon graduation from college, she plans to enter the fields of broadcast journalism and modeling.
Macy's participation in the Miss Tennessee Teen USA pageant this year was her second. Disappointed with her efforts the previous year, she began a vigorous physical training regimen, which led to her losing over twenty pounds and claiming the 2007 crown.
As a result of her hard work and academic achievements, Macy was voted most self-disciplined in her high school, and was invited to attend sessions of Congress in Washington D.C. She is certified in adult/child/infant C.P.R. and A.E.D. She maintains a 3.5 grade point average, is a member of HOSA, FBLA, Key Club, and Beta Club, and enjoys tutoring a family of African refugees with English language, school work, and basic assimilation into the American culture.
Her hobbies include horseback riding, swimming, water skiing, snow skiing, fishing, baton twirling, jogging, weight training, travel, and loves her cats, Gravy and Damien.
