Biography

Paige Hill had always felt that her young age and scarce resources restricted her ability to embark on charitable efforts and positive leadership endeavors with the far-reaching effects she desired. On December 3, 2006, she was named Miss Oklahoma Teen USA and earned the representative crown of a pageant that has always championed the idea of serving others.

Paige receives unwavering support and encouragement from her parents, Roger and Michelle Lewis and a countless number of extended family members and friends. She relies on the wisdom of her Grandma Mary to keep her humble and resilient. She possesses a rare characteristic of inner beauty and the desire to succeed; she takes ownership of her future.

Sixteen-year-old Paige has spent years in leadership and performance training. At a young age, she felt the need to take part in community and school organizations. Her first plunge into community involvement landed her in athletics—soccer, volleyball and basketball. However, it was not long before she discovered her love for the performing arts. Paige joined orchestra, honor choir and show choir at her school. She felt tied to and influenced by music, and so, when she finally found her greatest passion, it was a natural progression—dance! Paige considers her love for and ability to dance among her greatest gifts in life, for dancing has taught her about discipline, beauty, true grace and gratitude. Furthermore, dance empowers her with the requisite talent for participating in pageants.

A sophomore at Putnam City North High School, Paige feels a real obligation to make a difference in the world and believes that volunteer work and leadership training are integral to her success in doing so. Paige seeks out every opportunity to volunteer her help in the interest of any cause for social benefit. She plays on the powder-puff football team for the Cancer Carnival, adopts families in need at Christmastime and supports the participants of the Komen Oklahoma City Race for the Cure by cheering on the runners and handing them water during the event. During the summer, she enjoys activities with the residents of the Norfolk Sentara Nursing Center. Academically she has excelled as she is a member of the National Honor Society while her extra-curricular time is spent as a member of the Panther Pals mentorship program, DECA (a marketing program) and the Pom squad. Moreover, she attended the Leadership Development Institute in a dedicated effort to further her personal growth and leadership skills.

During her reign as Miss Oklahoma Teen USA, Paige has taken advantage of her opportunities to serve others. She has volunteered for the Special Olympic State Games and modeled at “An Evening with Kayne,” a couture fashion show aimed at raising awareness for Heartline, a suicide-prevention hotline. Paige also volunteered for the 2007 Redbud Marathon, which benefited Calm Waters Center for Children and Families (CWCCF). CWCCF is a non-profit agency whose mission is to teach healthy coping skills to children and families who are dealing with death or divorce. Paige feels passionate about this cause because of her fervent desire to teach and encourage children. Her preferred ventures are those that take her into elementary schools, where she knows she will inevitably meet with the opportunity to inspire children to follow their dreams.
