17 year old Chelsea Nelson has lived in Billings, Montana her whole life and has been very active in dance and school activities. She started dancing at the age of three and has developed a passion and love for it beyond her imagination. It has opened many doors of opportunity for her, including teaching choreography at an ice skating camp, modeling, cheerleading, teaching the pre-school dance classes and performing at numerous events. Not only does she love the sport, but she believes it has taught her to be extremely disciplined as well as physically fit.
Chelsea is an identical twin. She is very close to her twin sister, Mercedes and they share a lot of the same interests and activities, mainly dance but they are different in a lot of ways, too.
Chelsea enjoys social events and is very willing to step up and contribute to any cause that either needs her services or she feels is worthy; like recently cutting thirteen inches off of her hair and donating it to Locks of Love.
Chelsea comes from a very loving home and a rather large family. When they have a family gathering, there are nearly 40 people there, ranging from the newest baby in the family to her 80 year old grandparents who recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! Chelsea is a Christian and her morals and values help her make wise and safe decisions. She has never been involved with drugs, alcohol or crime and has overcome the peer pressures around her with pride and dignity (along with a few tears and heartbreaks, too).
Right now, Chelsea is enjoying the security she has under her loving family and experiencing as much of life as she possibly can. She has been working as a hostess in one of Billing’s finest restaurants, Jake’s, and for the last two summers she has worked as a slide monitor at the Big Splash Waterpark. Cheerleading kept Chelsea very busy for the past 2 years, so this year she decided to dedicate her time to other activities and broaden her horizons. She is now a Trading Card member, which is a club that encourages young students to stay drug-free, and she was elected Treasurer of the Student Council. Chelsea says she never finds herself without something exciting to do!
